Dr. Monika Bieberbach

was a research assistant at the Institute for Biology Education from 1996 to 2013, earned her doctorate in project-based teaching, and trained teacher training students in biology through practical exercises and seminars. She
currently supervises students who are completing voluntary internships at a village school in Kenya.

Dr. Thomas Gerl

was seconded to the Chair of Biology Education from 2017 to 2022 as a teacher to strengthen the practical relevance of teaching. In 2023, he completed his doctorate under Prof. Neuhaus on the knowledge of vertebrate forms and species.

Michael Spangler

From 2007 to 2024, he was a part-time lecturer at the Chair of Biology Education at LMU Munich and, at the same time, a subject specialist for biology at the Ministerial Representative for High Schools in Eastern Upper Bavaria.
